Noto Suoneto is the founder of Foreign Policy Talks Advisory (FPTA), a strategic advisory initiative that bridges international affairs, business, and diplomacy. He established Foreign Policy Talks in 2020 as a platform for discussions and knowledge-sharing on global affairs, bringing together policymakers, diplomats, business leaders, academics, and young professionals. Through his work in foreign policy writing, analysis, and public discourse, Noto explores how geopolitical developments shape economic opportunities, international cooperation, and Indonesia’s position in the world. His work aims to translate complex international developments into accessible insights and practical strategies for decision-makers.
Professionally, Noto serves as Vice President for International Affairs and Operations at the Indonesian Business Council (IBC), where he works to strengthen international partnerships and connect Indonesian business interests with global economic and policy developments. His experience includes engagements surrounding Indonesia’s G20 and B20 processes, as well as Indonesia’s 2023 ASEAN Chairmanship.
Through these multilateral platforms, he has gained exposure to the intersection of international diplomacy, economic cooperation, and private-sector engagement. He has also participated in the Indonesia Young Leadership Series and international youth leadership exchanges involving countries including South Korea and China, alongside other international partners. These experiences have contributed to his understanding of cross-cultural engagement, regional cooperation, and the role of emerging leaders in shaping international relations.
Noto has also been involved in organizing and facilitating international summits, forums, and high-level dialogues in Indonesia, bringing together stakeholders from government, business, academia, and civil society. Beyond Indonesia, he has helped promote cross-border dialogue and international exchanges across different countries, creating opportunities for participants to share perspectives, build networks, and explore areas of mutual interest.
Through initiatives under Foreign Policy Talks, including international youth dialogues and leadership programs, he has worked to strengthen connections between Indonesia and the wider world, with a particular interest in fostering constructive engagement across Asia and beyond. His approach combines convening, relationship-building, and substantive policy discussion to turn international engagement into lasting cooperation.
Drawing on his experience in foreign policy writing, strategic research, business diplomacy, and international networking, Noto founded FPTA to help organizations navigate an increasingly complex geopolitical and economic landscape. FPTA focuses on four core service areas: strategic research, stakeholder convening, summit advisory and program development, and foreign policy campaigns and discourse.
